From the recording isolation
Lyrics
I'm laying on my bed late at night, watching fragments of my glass house shatter.
I keep looking back on my past, tryna grab the shards.
Seems like no matter how hard I try to start this car, it just never gets far.
I used to look up at the stars.
Now my nights are filled with nothing but cloudy darkness.
No wonder I have clouded judgement these days.
I keep to myself lately.
Just producing my own tracks, sitting back on this chair, and weaving my hair outta of my eyes.
I fucking cried last night.
Dreaming about all the lives I could've had.
I laugh when people near me say I still have my whole life ahead of me.
Even though I know I'm only 20 years of age, I still feel caged up.
I'm always complaining, cause I feel restrained, and chained down.
Laying down on these train tracks.
Waiting for the day this train runs me over…
I wanna tame my thoughts.
I wanna contain my dang anger.
Cause so far all it's ever done for me’s lead me down a dark path.
A path of weaving angles, and weeping angels.
I wanna bend and weave with the falling fall leaves.
But everytime I try to find peace, I end up stressing myself out, till I collapse, completely stretched out on the couch.
I slouch there for several hours tryna clear my head.
But in the end, these depicted pictures hung in frames in my mind never shift an inch, or a milometer.
What's the point in trying?
Whenever I try, I end up tying too hard, and come home lying and crying in these sheets. Just leave, me, alone jeez.
I don't wanna be, this version of me…
